What's this site?
As its own name says, this site is intended to avoid others spam you. Many sites require registration or at least that you enter your e-mail address to gain access to their services. Then, they use your e-mail address to bombard you with ads and other nonsenses, or what is worse: they may transfer their e-mail database (with your e-mail address inside) to other companies or sites, so they can bombard you too! This site allows you to create temporary redirections to your real e-mail address, or even disposable mailboxes, so these sites will never know your real address and once your redirection or mailbox expires, they won't be able to reach you anymore. Oh, yes... it's free, and obviously, no registration is required!
Do I have to pay anything?
No. The above described services are free.
What's your profit for running this site, then?
At this time, any financial profit comes either from users' clicks on ads or from donations. Not everything is money, though. Many people enjoy developing useful services/tools for other people, and we definitely belong to that group. Although this idea is not new, we will try to innovate over the ones that already exist, so we can make this site even more useful.
Will you sell/give up your database to third parties?
Definitely no. And this answer is valid forever. That would absolutely clash with our principles, so this won't happen.
Will you introduce some paid services?
Probably. However, if that happened, the paid services will be related to some non-basic functionalities, which means that the part you're seeing free now (forwardings and disposable mailboxes) will continue being free anytime.
I created a forwarding/mailbox but I closed my browser. May I recover them?
Yes for mailboxes, no for forwardings. When you create a mailbox, on the top of the page you will see a text saying Your token is.... If you're interested in recovering your mailbox once you close your browser (assuming it still exists), you'll need to write it down somewhere before. Then you just have to go to the mailbox creation form and choose I already have one and I know its token. Be clear that this is not the password, it's just a random string to access the web client for an already created mailbox account.
I forgot my token and I want to recover my mailbox. Can I?
Unfortunately, you can't. You'll have to create a new disposable mailbox.
May I extend the expiration time for a forwarding?
No. Once the forwarding is created, we lose any track of you, so we can't know what forwarding address you have created a time ago. Remember, there are no user accounts (this is probably the downside).
May I extend the expiration time for a mailbox?
Yes, as far as you don't close the browser where you are handling your disposable mailbox account or you recover your mailbox using the token. You'll find a Give me 10 more minutes link at the top of the page, so you can extend the time as many times as you need (10 minutes each time, and only if there's less than 30 minutes for mailbox expiration).
Will I see the original sender of an incoming mail on forwardings?
Yes. We don't overwrite any former header of the original e-mail. Our service will behave like a proxy. The only different thing you will see is that the recipient (in this case, you) is your temporary NoSpamme.rs address instead of the real.
Do you do any additional checks for e-mails before forwarding/storing to inbox?
Absolutely. We will check for potentially undesirable or dangerous contents, in which case the e-mail will be directly discarded. Also, even this functionality is not yet implemented, when sending e-mails we'll check whether you're sending spam. If so, your outgoing e-mail will be frozen and if confirmed, your mailbox will be deleted. Otherwise, any mail is forwarded/stored. There will also be a flow control for outgoing messages, so you'll be able to send only a certain amount of e-mails in a specific time interval.
I have a disposable mailbox, can I configure a client to use it?
Due to security reasons, no, sorry.
What happens once a mailbox expires?
Any expired mailbox is erased on the spot. No backups are made, we don't keep anything of the temporary mailboxes.
While I'm using a mailbox, can someone else use the same address?
No. While your temporary mailbox exists, the system will make sure that no other user can pick up the same address (even if it's randomly generated). Same applies to forwardings, and to the mixed scenario: A user can't pick up a forwarding address that's currently being used as mailbox, and viceversa.
Is it secure to use this service as far as privacy goes?
Despite one might think this is rather a passing through service, security is essential for us. As far as client <-> server communication goes, Transport Layer Security (TLS) is always used. As for server <-> server communication, our MTA offers the possibility of sending the message using TLS, but it's up to the remote mail server to decide whether it should be used or not.
Someone's abusing this service. Where can I complain?
Any abuse that involves our service is taken very seriously. Please, send any information that you might have (the more detailed the better) via the contact form or directly to abuse [ [ @ ] ] NoSpamme.rs and we will take charge.
